The DPW has provided concept figures for the projects. These aren't detailed engineering drawings; final details will be created later.

Advisory Committee Results

On March 29, the Advisory Committee voted on each of the proposals. They voted 13-8 in favor of preserving funding for the Harvard Street and Cypress Street projects. However, the Advisory Committee voted 9-12 against funding the Beacon Street project.

Next Steps

The next step is for the Town Meeting to vote on the budget in late May. Once the budget is passed, the Department of Public Works will begin detailed engineering plans for the two projects. The bike racks will be installed summer 2011, and the bike lanes will likely be implemented in spring 2012.
